Join us for a day of self-exploration and discovery that can lead to compelling changes in your life and relationships.

"I would strongly encourage any who are of open mind and heart, looking to heal yourself and wanting to learn more about relationship to give the dynamics of relationship course a chance."
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I will meet you there.” ~Rumi

Are you ready for a deeper more authentic experience of relationship?
The experience of conscious relationship is a powerful tool for healing. The Dynamics of Relationship course offers you the tools to open your heart to love.

The Dynamics of Relationship help us to know ourselves more honestly. These dynamics exist in all our relationships – with our own selves, with others, and with the divine. Through a compassionate exploration of these dynamics we can identify the truth about how we show up in relationship. When we are able to express our true feelings with courage and take responsibility for our inner experiences and actions, we become empowered in our lives. We are also able to inhabit the present moment, which is where real love actually happens. By stepping into responsibility for ourselves, we open the door to love. In this authentic place we become alive, attuned, aware and inspired.

"The Dynamics of Relationship curriculum is changing everything for me. So much unfolds within me with this work, I have hope now that I can become what I have always been a loving, compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and grateful human. Honestly,  this is the safest place I have ever been."

We believe that the experience of conscious relationship is a powerful tool for healing. The way you relate to others is a mirror for the way you relate to your inner self. By exploring what you co-create in relationship through the Dynamics of Relationship course, you can heal past trauma and open your heart to love.

This is a three-year experiential learning program that meets one weekend a month for six-months each course year. In this communal container, we will focus on mindfulness and embodiment practices to help you build your capacity to become more authentic, present and grounded. Learning to express yourself from this embodied experience will allow you to see and heal the self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that keep you from opening your heart in relationship. The relationships you form with your fellow participants will also be based on authentic, honest, loving communication.

A comprehensive packet of reading material will be provided at the beginning of the first year that complements the experiential work we do on the weekends. We also encourage participants to communicate between retreat weekends in order to support the integration of new awareness into your daily life. In addition, we will provide one-on-one support throughout the program.

The dynamic practice of living authentically in relationship requires courage, willingness and compassion. We are committed to holding loving, supportive and non-judgmental space for you to heal and grow among a community of like-minded people.

Each one of the six retreat weekends will include exploration, self expression and learning around various aspects of ourselves that have become barriers to self awareness and authenticity.

There comes a time when nothing is more meaningful except surrendering to love.” ~Rumi

Year One:
In this foundational year we form a safe, compassionate container in which you and your cohort explore the emotional and psychological patterns of self-defense and limiting beliefs that inhibit your authentic connection with others. We uncover the thought processes that create habitual behaviors and reactions and also keep you from experiencing rich, fulfilling relationships.

Through readings, discussion, interactive experiences, breathwork and contemplative practices we will explore the foundational principles of our approach.

We will open our year with the following questions: What is relationship? What is the quality of your relationship with yourself and with others in this moment of your life? How can it be different from what you know now?

"The insights I have gained about myself have allowed me to develop a relationship with myself and others that has more depth, love and joy than ever before. I have gained a deeper understanding of the hows and whys I have held myself back from developing quality relationships, and learned practical tools which I have been able to bring out into my work, family and personal life."

"The Dynamics of Relationship Course helped me see the difference of truly being in a relationship and having a greater understanding of myself. I am learning about fear and all its different aspects; ego, pride and judgement."
Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~Rumi

Year Two:
This intermediate year will deepen your exploration of the barriers you have created to keep you from experiencing authentic connection with others.  We will explore the sources of deeply ingrained emotional and physical patterns and learn how they become barriers to relationship.

Through interactive experience, discussion and contemplative practices, you will learn how to recognize these patterns in your body and the ways in which you orient physically and emotionally to these barriers. Diving deeply into the sensations of defense in your body, you will discover that it is possible to overcome many of the blocks that keep you from authentic expression and connection.  We believe that if you can recognize the sensation in your body first, you are much less likely to react to triggers and defenses and thereby develop your ability to make more conscious and loving choices for yourself and others in your life.

In this second year, you will also explore how to recognize and understand these barriers in others so that you can cultivate more compassionate interactions.

Second Year course outline:
1
Building a Barrier ~ Exploring the Energy of Wounding & Disconnection
2  The Unwanted Barrier ~ Experiencing Embodiment
3  The Undernourished Barrier ~ Standing on Your Own Two Feet
4  The Enduring Barrier ~ Reclaiming Self-Will & Freedom
5  The Challenger/Defender Barrier ~ Becoming Authentic & Vulnerable
6  The Rigid Barrier ~ Finding Self-Love and Resilience

"Christine and Michael have introduced me to techniques and given me the tools to move past barriers that have kept people at arm’s length to protect myself from hurt, or have kept me out of relationships entirely."
Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ~Rumi

Year Three:
In this third year, the principles learned in the previous years will be grounded into a practice of self-mastery.

Working in pairs you will explore a series of questions designed to help you uncover the specific dynamics present in your relationship with your cohort partner. Through an interactive experience within your class, you will also have the opportunity to work with your limiting beliefs, outmoded behavior patterns and defensive barriers in real-time relationship. As we guide you through this exploration with compassionate witnessing, you will practice mastering the reactions that once separated you from authentic connection. As your self-mastery grows, you will experience the freedom of living and loving with an open heart in relationship.

Third Year course outline:
Self-Mastery I ~ Living in The Dynamics of Relationship

"I have learned to pay attention to the cues my body gives me energetically when anxious or distressed and instead of shutting down or acting out in some way, I can reach out to a friend, I can breathe and meditate, I can recognize the old patterns and make new, healthy, choices to connect with myself or others in a way like never before. "
